The movement is in working condition at the time of cataloguing. The dial is very attractive and quite rare. The case is in very crisp condition with nice steps and there is only light surface wear which is only consistent with the age of the watch. Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of time and may need a service at the buyer's expense. Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement and we do not guarantee the authenticity of any individual component parts since subsequent repairs and restoration work may have resulted in the replacement of original parts. The present openface watch is a very crisp and pleasant example. The case has sharp lines and nice hallmarks. The dial with a unusual configuration that is further highlighted with the prestigious Hausmann & Co. retailer's signature.
