Catalogue Note

This fine Breguet watch, made in 1823, was intended simply to supply a demand for an economically priced precision watch. The watch is simple and very conservatively constructed, however the mechanism features a full plate English movement with fusée and Earnshaw spring detent escapement, which was usually used with a tourbillon. The watch is furthermore discussed and illustrated in The Art of Breguet by George Daniels and has been retained in extremely attractive and original condition.
