Catalogue Note
One of Vacheron Constantin’s most emblematic chronographs, the reference 4072 exhibits the understated elegance and technical virtuosity for which the manufacturer is known. This piece was created in the mid 1940s, produced in stainless steel and pink gold, a very rare combination of which less than 70 are known.
The manually-wound calibre V434 boasts a 30-minute counter — an especially impressive time-measuring capacity for the era. Its production started in the late 1930s and finished in the early 1970s.
Consigned by its original Scandinavian family, this Vacheron Constantin was clearly loved by its owner, an exceptional addition to any collection which is fresh to the market.
