Catalogue Note
Cyma was founded by brothers Joseph and Theodore Schwob in 1862 in Switzerland. The Schwob brothers named the company cyma, a Latin word meaning 'sprout', and the origin of the French 'cime' or summit. By 1929, Cyma boasted the biggest workshop in Europe and had employed 2,000 staff to assemble 4,000 watches a day.
The present chronograph, with a crisp case and sharply angled lugs, is an excellent example of the precision and high quality of Swiss craftsmanship.
