MVT: running at time of cataloguing. CASE: in great condition with very sharp lugs and crisp number on the back. There is fine surface wear visible with the naked eye. DIAL: in very attractive condition with minor surface blemishes visible with the naked eye. There are some signs of oxidation and some surface marks visible to the indexes. While Doxa's most famed watches today are the orange-dialled divers, the watchmaking company founded in 1889 initially specialised in dress watches. The present example in 14k pink gold displays an elegant case made by JSG SA, showcasing both matt and mirror surfaces with a set of Cornes de Vache lugs. The AS 1173 calibre is an interesting illustration of early bumper developments. It is based on the Harwood automatic calibre and features an asymmetrical design for improved efficiency as well as a Breguet hairspring.

This vintage Doxa is offered with its original case number-matching hang tag and presented in excellent condition.
