Catalogue Note

Omega released the Constellation in 1952 in stainless steel, yellow and rose gold in three levels of finishing. The Constellation is a Chronometer certified timepiece, which is elegantly illustrated both on the dial and the engraved case back bearing the observatory where the movements were tested, as well as the 8 stars symbolising the chronometry prizes Omega won in 1931.
The present lot is indeed a rare, extraordinarily preserved example. It was made in 1956 and features the characteristic Pie-Pan dial displaying a wonderful two-tone look. The dial was specifically made for Saudi Arabia and adds to the singularity of the unworn case. The timepiece is fitted with the updated calibre 505, released in 1955.

This highly attractive Omega reference 2853 is offered with its original Certificate of High Precision, pigskin strap with buckle and its untouched Saudi presentation case. The watch is further retained in excellent condition.
