First introduced in 1943, the reference 1579 by Patek Philippe is distinguished by its thick bezel, easily legible dial and faceted downturned lugs, otherwise known as 'spider lugs'. There are only around 80 examples known with a pink gold case, and fewer still with a pink dial.
