Catalogue Note
In 2006, Patek Philippe launched the ref. 5960 in a luxurious platinum case with a grey dial and an alligator strap. The pink gold version followed suit three years later, as Patek Philippe introduced their own seal to replace the traditional Geneva Seal. The same year, the platinum version was re-launched with a blue dial, while the grey version would be discontinued. The last seen retail price for the platinum version was CHF 78,200.
The example on offer therefore displays the early grey dial and Geneva Seal movement, an iteration collectors seem to value on today's market. This intricate annual calendar flyback chronograph is offered with its Certificate of Origin, user manual and presentation case.
