Catalogue Note

Piaget initially started as a movement maker before pioneering the jewellery watch market in the 1960s. The 1970s were dubbed the 'Haute Couture' era of watchmaking, as the brand released many variations of highly complex cuff and bracelet watches with hard stone dials and precious stone settings.

The two present examples bear coral and tiger's eye, paired with the legendary calibre 9P2, an evolution of the 9P, which was in fact the world's thinnest mechanical calibre upon its release in 1957.
