Catalogue Note

It is very understandable why Tri-Compaxes are so cherished by collectors with its perfect size of 36 mm, a distinctive black dial with white sub-registers, an aperture for the moon-phase and a sub-dial to show the date with apertures for day and month (in German).

Nick-named 'Evil Clapton' because of its black dial, the reference was made famous as legendary guitarist Eric Clapton was often photographed wearing a similar reference with a white dial (881101/01).

Preserved in a very appealing original condition, this crisp watch is highly collectible today and is extremely rare.

The ref. 881101/02 can be found archived on page 355 of Pietro Sala's Universal Watch Genève.
