Catalogue Note

To celebrate the 176th Anniversary of Hermès,  Jeager-LeCoultre and the esteemed Parisian luxury artisan collaborated to produce the present lot.  Made in a limited edition of 176 pieces, each one takes the careful and skilful craftsmanship of expert glassblowers Les Cristallries de Saint-Louis.  The finished product is an Atmos movement housed inside a two-layer glass dome accentuated by enamel shell revealing windows into the case. The effect, it is safe to say, is a mesmerising one. The retail price for this particular piece in 2013 $30,000. For more information on the Atmos’s history please see lot 89.
