Condition

MVT: is running at the time of cataloguing and the chronograph functioning. CASE: in very good condition with well-defined lugs. There is very light surface wear visible when closely examining the watch. The back is engraved with a monogram depicting the letters "R.M." DIAL: with light but attractively consistent spotting and intact telemeter and tachymeter scales. Fine scratches visible when closely examining the dial, as well as some tarnish to the hands and indexes. Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of time and may need a service at the buyer's expense. Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement and we do not guarantee the authenticity of any individual component parts since subsequent repairs and restoration work may have resulted in the replacement of original parts. Catalogue Note

Manufactured in 1953 this pink gold chronograph is in lovely condition. The lugs are nice and long, down-turned and have very nice steps running through the center. The dial has aged throughout giving this vintage watch a very original and charismatic look and feel.
