The early production of this complicated Audemars Piguet watch shows us the highest quality of watchmaking which made the company world-famous. The lever movement has a special construction for the time with a 3/4 plate, 25 jewels, bi-metallic compensation balance, second wheel off-centre, regulator of micrometric construction and the chronograph wheel return mechanism with a ruby jewel.  As one of the earliest known split-seconds chronographs made by Audemars Piguet, this pocket watch is a very precious timepiece and is part of the rich and important history of the company.
