Catalogue Note

In 1985, Gérald Genta created the modern Cartier Pasha from a vintage timepiece that Louis Cartier had designed in the 1930s for the Pasha of Marrakech. The grid disappeared while the characteristic screw-down crown cap and chain remains. The present lot houses an extremely complicated movement signed Gérald Genta. The perpetual calendar is complimented by a minute repeating function with two hammers striking on two gongs. Rarely seen on the market this Pasha is a true masterpiece.
