Description

  • Height 10 in., 25.4 cm
seated on a crescent-shaped plinth, the hands concealed within the wide sleeves of a high-belted voluminous robe worn over armor, the head with a tight cap secured with a knotted sash, the ends trailing over the shoulders, the full face downcast with a fierce expression, pierced for insertion of hair, covered overall in a creamy-white glaze

Condition

There is restoration to the ribbons and knot ends on the cap, the tip of the outstretched foot, and there is a restored chip to the hem of the robe above the outstretched foot. Crazing to the surface, some of which have been consolidated, and minor potting and glazing imperfections consistent with age and type.
