Description

  • Height 9 1/2  in., 24 cm
the globular body supported on a spreading foot and rising to a columnar neck with an everted rim, a raised fillet encircling the neck, the body painted in dark cobalt with two chilong each pursuing a 'flaming pearl' amid flame scrolls, all under a translucent medium-blue glaze, the interior and base glazed white

Condition

The vase is in good overall condition. There is a blue glaze splash to the inner rim and a small chip to the inside of the foot. There is wear to the surface, some scratches, and minor imperfections consistent with age and type.
