Description

  • Diameter 13 3/4  in., 35 cm
the gently rounded sides rising from a short tapering foot, the interior painted in varying tones of blue with a house in a mountainous river landscape, a lady at the window of the second story finishing her coiffure in a circular mirror, a figure at the riverbank below harvesting leafy vegetables, the 'Three Friends of Winter' growing about the walls of the house, a poetic colophon inscribed to the lower right, the base inscribed yutangjiaqi ('beautiful vessel for the jade hall') in underglaze blue within a double circle

Condition

In overall good condition with a few frits around the rim and a minor shallow flake chip to the interior rim measuring 0.8 cm. With minor firing imperfections including burst glaze bubbles and iron spots.
