Description

  • diameter 12 3/8 in.; 31.4 cm
painted in the center with two figures writing on boxes, with an official holding a pipe supervising and two further figures observing, all within a rococo-style border with enlarged shell motifs, the base with numberal '3.' in underglaze-blue

Condition

There are two chips to the underside rim, with the larger measuring approx. 3/4 in. wide. There are further scattered chips and frits to the rim, as well as two hairlines extending from the rim with the longer measuring approx. 2 1/2 in. Overall with minor wear to the glaze and firing imperfections.
