Description

  • height of taller 10 in.; 25.5 cm
each enameled with a large puce flower, surrounded by tobacco leaves painted in turquoise, yellow and blue, comprising: a pair of cylindrical gu-shaped vases and a small ormolu-mounted baluster vase

Condition

One gu-shaped vase with small section of rim made up and with a firing tear running diagonally across the body, visible in the catalogue illustration. The other with small areas of restoration at the rim and foot.The ormolu mounted vase with the mouth slightly reduced to accommodate the top mount, and the mouth rim with a hairline extending down the top section of the shoulder, along with two other short hairlines and several minor flake chips. The mounts with minor casting flaws and rubbing to the gilding, and not inspected outside of mount. All pieces with minor and typical minor firing imperfections.
