CHATEAU BRANE CANTENAC 1961
Château Brane Cantenac 1961
Cantenac (Margaux), 2ème Cru Classé
u. 1t/hs, 6hs, 3h/ms, 2 labels very slightly worn, otherwise excellent appearance

That magic nose of genuine great old Claret - nostalgic, a touch volatile, a touch mushroom, sweet violets and iron, cassis and Cabernet bouquet. Glorious, deep, intense blackcurrant taste. A very fine quality original cork must have contributed to this. For the first half hour in the glass it is all sweetness and allure and then, as often, the volatility gets a bit stronger - so pounce on it and revel in it! At 45 years old, this is bliss. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
