HERMITAGE, LA CHAPELLE 1959 PAUL JABOULET AINE
Hermitage, La Chapelle 1959 Paul Jaboulet Aîné
u. 1x3cm, 1x4.5cm, labels soiled, 1 neck label wine stained from old seepage, 1 capsule corroded on top

Deep, dark, mature colour. Complex, dried attic apples on the nose, even Seville oranges. Dried Grisons beef and dried leaves. Such sweet treacle on the palate. Toast with prune jam. The fruit is still luscious, full of damson richness, softness and chocolate charm. A voluptuous vintage. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
