CHATEAU HAUT BRION 1962
Château Haut Brion 1962
Pessac-Léognan (Graves), 1er Cru Classé
u. 5cm, label damp soiled and nicked at bottom edge, Grants of St. James slip label scuffed and worn, capsule corroded, slightly torn around collar and slightly damaged on top

Nose of Havanas, coffee and spices. Great freshness, almost floral on the palate - lifted by acidity at the end. Black earth, salty/sweet, even peaty, smoky finish, like an Islay Malt! Fascinating. Then, from magnum in 2012, pure black earth on the nose and an 'end of cigar' finish. Outstanding. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
