Description
Château Montrose 2013 St. Estèphe, 2ème Cru Classé32hl/hectare yield at the property. 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot. 60% new wood. 60% of production went into the grand vin. The words kept tripping out here - supple, soft, cassis and coffee on the nose. Suave and full of coffee beans on the palate. Beautiful ripe tannins. They like to compare it to the very good 1998 here, quite classic in profile and a wine to welcome the marvellous new barrel hall.
