Of hinged ropetwist design, the terminals each adorned with a lion's head, the eyes set with round rubies, further accented by single-cut diamonds, round sapphires and emeralds, gross weight approximately 43 dwts, internal circumference 6½ inches, signed Ilias Lalaounis. 

Condition

In good condition, the mounting with light surface scratches, largely masked by the texture of the gold, noticeable only upon close inspection. Stamped K18 for 18 karat gold. The diamonds, estimated to weigh a total of approximately 0.35 carat, are approximately H-I color, VS clarity with some SI examples. The rubies are medium purplish red, moderately included. The emeralds are medium green, heavily included with surface abrasions visible under 10x magnification. The sapphires are medium deep to very deep blue, moderately to heavily included. Width approximately ¼ to ½ inch.
