Description

Set with a cushion-cut sapphire weighing 8.04 carats, flanked by half moon-shaped diamonds, on a decorative band set with round diamonds at the sides, size 6, signed Beauary, numbered 20826.

Condition

In good condition, with lights surface scratches to the mounting commensurate with light wear. Inscribed PT900 for platinum. The sapphire is medium blue, slightly included, with a surface reaching feather across one side of the crown facets, and minor abrasions to facet edges, visible under 10x magnification. The two half moon-shaped diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 1.65 carats, approximately F-G color, VS clarity. The round diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 0.50 carats are of similar color and clarity to the half moon-shaped diamonds. Accompanied by AGL report no. 1100434, dated April 26th, 2019 stating that the sapphire is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating. Additionally accompanied by a previous AGL report, numbered CS 34582-1, dated October 21, 2005, and a AGTA report, numbered 10006208, dated October 11, 2005, both stating that the sapphire is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating.
