Description

  • Froment-Meurice
The hinged bangle designed in the renaissance revival style, composed of open work floral motifs set with oval sapphires, rose diamonds and pearls, between borders set with oval rubies, applied throughout with pink, black and white enamel, inner circumference approximately 173mm, French assay marks and maker's mark for Froment Meurice, fitted case stamped Froment Meurice.

Purchased by Carl Jacobsen (1842-1914), brewer, philanthropist, and alongside his father, co-founder of Carlsberg Beer
To his daughter Theodora Jacobsen (1877-1956)

Condition

Stamped with French assay marks for 18 carat gold and French maker's mark FM for Froment Meurice. Enamel with some areas of chipping. Pearls in good condition. Please note that pearls have not been tested for natural origin. Width approximately 18mm. Clasp in good working order, closing securely, with added safety chain. Gross weight approximately 53.5 grams. Fitted case stamped Froment Meurice.
