SHELL CAMEO, EMERALD AND DIAMOND PENDANT/BROOCH, 1860S

Description

Set with a shell cameo depicting the Archangel Michael triumphing over Lucifer, to a mount and pendant fitting of knifewire construction set with cushion-shaped diamonds and step-cut emeralds.

Condition

Carving overall in good condition, with a small break to the end of the sword and slight wear to the archangel's nose. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 0.90 - 1.10 carats. Emeralds light green, some with chips to facet edges. Detachable pendant fitting. Collapsible brooch fitting glue upright. Overall dimensions approximately 91 x 80mm. Gross weight approximately 43.3 grams.
