Description

  • Each 41 cm., 16 in. wide
each of oval form decorated in gold hiramaki-e on a black ground depicting willows around the Uji bridge and the other with pine trees and cherry blossom bordered by a geometric design, applied gilt handles, copper-gilt liners

Condition

- Overall, it is in good condition. - There is some old wear to the lacquer. - The top left has a slight crack which has been restored. - There is some crazing to the lacquer consistent with the age and use of the object.
