Catalogue Note

Sedlyarevich a Russian aviator, served his country as a fighter pilot in World War II and helped found 'Skoga': The Soviet-Chinese Joint Civil Stock Aviation Company in March 1950. It is believed that this work was given to the aviator by Mao Zedong as a gift for his services to Chinese aviation. Sedlyarevich emigrated to Warsaw in the 1970s.
