Condition

Overall the condition of the bronze is very good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is a minor abrasion to the highest point of the hair. There is minor greening in areas. The wood mount is in good condition with minor general wear.

The present bronze was cast by the Alfred Barnard Foundry. Henry Irvine was a highly regarded Victorian stage actor and manager, and the first actor to be knighted.
