Condition

The panel appears sound and providing a stable support. Some localised areas of craquelure. Some rubbing and abrasion to left and lower framing edges. A slightly discoloured layer of surfance varnish. Overall the work appreas to be in good condition. UV light inspection reveals flecked retouchings throughought the work, notably in the background and to the framing edges. There is a more concentrated area of retouching above the basket. There are only very minor touches to the figure. Retouchings have been done sensitivley. Held in a decorative gilt frame.
