Generally good considering age and use. Accretions to the reverse from where it was fixed.

The use of strong horizontal and vertical reeded lines compartmentalising pattern relate to examples designed by Thomas Jeckyll. See a brass example by him in the collection of the V&A, London (M.49-1972) which features a similar framing device.
