The following condition report was kindly provided by Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc.: This work has been restored and should be hung in its current state. The older glue lining is stabilizing the paint layer and presenting the surface nicely. The work is clean, varnished and retouched. Under ultraviolet light, no retouches are evident in the sky, fowl or child. The retouches are confined to a few tiny thin cracks in the dark landscape on the left side of the child. The condition is extremely good overall.
