Lined. The work presents well, aside from a few sparse pin dots of discoloration; isolated areas of faint craquelure; two pin dots of loss on the bottom left corner of the chair cushion at lower left; and two discolored dots of restoration at lower left (visible under UV). Under UV: varnish fluoresces green unevenly. There are isolated small areas of retouching near the edges and on the background and floor; inpainting to address prior craquelure on the top left of the piano; and some retouching to the mother's face and contour of her neck and back.
