Condition

Examined in the frame. Lined. The colors appear bright. There are small areas of active lifting in the upper background on the figure's proper left upper arm and proper left jaw; to the tree trunk at center right; and at lower right to right of figure's knee and proper left thigh. Small area of frame abrasion left upper edge. There is a small loss in trees above figure's head a repaired loss in tree at upper left near the edge. Under UV: there are isolated restorations in the landscape and background, some of which are visible to the naked eye. A diagonal line of inpainting extends across figure's proper left knee. There is scattered inpainting on and around the figure's drapery. Inpainting to address lifting on the figure's proper left upper arm fluoresces as do a few finely applied retouches to the figure's face.
