Condition
Strip lined. Craquelure visible across the picture surface, predominantly in the sky and on the figure. There are a few small losses with associated lifting visible along the lower and lower right edges, at left in the area of the tree and fence, and in the sky. Minor bumping and pulling of the canvas at the right lower edge. A few pin dots of discoloration in the sky. Frame abrasion visible along upper right edge. Under UV: varnish fluoresces green unevenly. There is a small area of inpainting near the crooked tree at center left to address prior loss (partially visible to the naked eye). Spots of inpainting to address prior loss on the thatched house at far left near edge; the lower left edge; center right edge; and lower edge.
