Condition
Examined in the frame. Original unlined condition. The surface presents well and appears bright, aside from a faint 1 inch horizontal dent in the upper right corner; a barely visible area of craquelure on the figure's chin; and minor frame abrasion in isolated areas along the edges. Under UV: scattered pinpoint dots of retouching in the figure's hair and some old retouching to her chin to address prior craquelure. Small finely applied pinpoint dots of retouching scattered along the upper edge; in the background at left and at lower right.
