Condition

Overall in very good condition. The five tulip shades display rich golden coloration and iridescence when viewed firsthand, and present as a very well-matched assembled set. The shades each with scattered minor air bubbles and particulate inclusions inherent in the making and not visually distracting. The upper rims of the shades with a few occasional edge flecks consistent with age and not visible when the shades are installed. The chains and balls all appear original and present with scattered minor surface scratches, abrasions and wear consistent with age. Four of the five ball decorations display a slightly darker patina and present with some minor areas of patina loss, not visually distracting. The wire decoration around the ceiling mount with some light surface soiling and minor traces of oxidation. The bronze surface of the center plate with light wear consistent with age. With later replaced sockets. A highly dynamic and elegantly-scaled work from Tiffany’s Moorish series.
