Condition

Overall in very good condition. The vase is exquisitely decorated and shows spectacular movement and variation around the full circumference. The vase displays a cool color palette of navy blue and subdued turquoise against a pale green-grey. At the bottom of the foot the color transitions to a rich forest and olive green on the exterior. The interior of the bowl shows a dramatic gradation of color due to casing, from a deep amber red on the bottom interior to hues of pale blue and chartreuse toward the upper rim. Due to the reactive nature of the glass, when viewed with remitted light the glass displays a vibrant red hue. The vase with scattered minor air bubbles, particulate inclusions, and minor surface irregularities inherent in the making and not visually distracting. The underside of the vase with two old paper collection labels. A beautiful and incredibly striking decorated vase.
