"It’s become almost theatrical. There’s not a major work of art that isn’t invested with light. Light is absolutely an essential aspect of painting." Eric Fischl
This work is in very good condition overall. There is light handling and wear to the extreme edges. Under close inspection there are a few pinpoint spot accretion scattered throughout the canvas, most notably in the lower horizontal edge. Under ultra violet inspection there is a dense network of spots which fluoresces darkly but do not appear to be the result of restoration. Framed.
