This work seems to still be on its original stretcher, but the tacking edges have been reinforced to allow for proper stretching. It appears that the paint layer has been partially cleaned, or an original glaze by the artist may have been disturbed. No restorations are clearly visible under ultraviolet light. There is one retouch in the center of the blue shape in the center of the picture, and there may be others. The varnish is slightly uneven in the lower center, creating a slightly milky patch in the black color. (This condition report has been provided courtesy of Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc.)
