Mary Boone Gallery, New York Acquired from the above by the present owner
"What most paintings do is give you a path for your eye to move around. The painting actually tells your eye, go here, now go here, now go here, go here. So all you have to do if look at it, give it a few seconds, and your eye will start to move through the painting."
This work is in very good condition overall. The work is constructed from 4 canvases which are all unlined. The scattered stray media present is due to the artist's working method. The variations to the pigment are due to the artist's working method and chosen medium. There is some very minor wear to some of the canvas corners and some several scattered surface accretions. Under very close inspection and with raking light, there is a very faint linear horizontal scuff to the lower left quadrant. Framed. In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above.
