Condition
Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the illustration fails to fully convey the highly textured, glossy and matte passages, and the metallic nature of the dark blue paint towards the centre left of the composition. Condition: This work is in very good condition. Very close inspection reveals a layer of surface dust, most notably accumulated at the impastoed passages of pigment. Further close inspection reveals a few hairline drying cracks to the white impasto outline of the speech bubble. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra violet light.
