Vito Schnabel Gallery, New York Acquired from the above by the present owner in 2014
“I think that painting relates very neatly to inner travel and the exploration of inner worlds. With painting, I always get the impression that you’re sort of entering into a shared space. There’s everyone who’s painted in the past, and everyone who is painting in the present.”
This work is in very good condition overall. Upon close inspection, there is evidence of minor wear and handling and soft buckling in each of the parts, most noticeable along the edges. There are scattered spots of pinpoint brown accretions, only visible upon close inspection. There is evidence of a minor scuff mark in top white panel approximately 17 in. from the right edge and 4 in. from the top edge, also only noticeable upon close inspection. In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above. Since we are not professional conservators or restorers, we urge you to consult with a restorer or conservator of your choice who will be better able to provide a detailed, professional report.
