The painted background displays excellent color retention and very good uniformity of color and opacity. The painted surface is tightly bound with no significant damages or losses. The colors are vibrant, the media layer is stable, and all plastic elements are secure and accounted for. The top edges/tips of the plastic strips appear slightly compressed, likely due to contact with the interior of the frame and the mechanical working process of the artist. All of the plastic strips exhibit spotting on the surface. Under raking light inspection, a few isolated minor areas of pinpoint dark brown surface deposits become apparent in the upper left, lower left and upper right corners of the work, which can be removed. In the lower right corner of the third rectangle, and in the upper right corner of the top rectangle, minor isolated spots of the background color can be seen coming through the composition.
