Catalogue Note
"The plane was filled with Indians, my people, migrant workers from India...I began to get talking to the passengers who were tailors and taxi drivers and construction laborers...I asked them what was inside. It turned out that the contents were quite ordinary, their everyday belongings plus a few clothes for their children, perhaps a little jewelry for their wives. But these parcels seemed to me to be themselves like jewelry and so I started working on them." Subodh Gupta
