Condition
This work is in very good condition overall. Upon close inspection, there is evidence of wear and handling with associated faint abrasions, most noticeable along the left edge. There is evidence of very fine hairline craquelure along the right turning edge, only noticeable upon close inspection and under raking light. Under Ultraviolet light inspection, scattered areas of the surface fluoresce but are not a result of restoration. Unframed.

Catalogue Note
"To create these hyperrealist oil paintings, Quinn creates a still-life arrangement in his studio using flowers and fruit bought in London on a particular day...The paintings depict a frozen moment of 'unnatural' time. Often large in scale and dramatically colored, their beauty belies a sinister subtext: the relentless human desire to control nature. Titled after freaks of ecology, the works offer up a corrupt beauty that suggests our possible future." Marc Quinn Studio
