Catalogue Note

"I cast the objects in stainless steel, the only thing that really preserves alcohol, took them to Jim Beam, they cleaned them, filled them up with bourbon, and then they put the tax stamp seal on...That seal is really the interface to the soul of the work. You could open it and drink the bourbon, but you would end up ruining the work. It would be destroyed, because the soul of the piece is really the bourbon."
