Condition
This work is in very good condition overall. The canvas is unlined and well-stretched. The colors are vibrant, and the media layer is stable. In the lower right quadrant approximately one inch from the lower edge of the canvas, two very fine vertical intermittent surface scratches are present, measuring two and one inches in length respectively. Two additional 1/4 inch spots of media loss are present in this quadrant, to the right of the scratches. In the lower left quadrant, three pinpoint white surface accretions are present. Under raking light inspection, a few scattered transparent drip accretions become apparent in the lower left quadrant, in the black background area. Under ultraviolet light inspection, no evidence of inpainting becomes apparent.
