Colour: The colour in the catalogue illustration is fairly accurate, although the colours of the petals in the top left corner are slightly deeper and richer in the original. Condition: This work is in very good and original condition. Extremely close inspection reveals a superficial layer of dust that has adhered in places to the surface of the work and some fine fibres that have adhered to some impasto peaks, which look to be inherent to the artist's process. Very close inspection reveals some compressed impasto peaks and a minute speck of loss to an impasto peak to centre of the right hand edge. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra violet light.
